Does denatured alcohol harm wood color?

Hi all, I'm getting ready to start bundling and selling some of this box elder, and I was planning on using DNA to wet it down to show the grain and color for pictures.

This won't harm it, will it?

Anyone who's interested in some, chime in, I'm a milling machine, trying to clean up my yard and shop.

Just spray it with some water.

Water will be just fine. Just need a lite mist.

Heh...story of my life - I spend 4 days fan drying this stuff and now I'm going to hose it back down.

That kind of thinking is right up my alley!

Mineral spirits/paint thinner is a good choice. It won't dry off as fast as alcohol, and won't add moisture to the blank.
