Is there any way to dismantle a slimline pencil without a dismantling tool?

Use these. The're much cheaper and will work for ant pen.

How do you use those punches? Do you put the pen in a vise to hold it while taping in the punch? Can they break the CA glue seal?

Insert pen in vise (aka left hand). Insert appropriate size punch in pen. Transfer kinetic energy to the pen through the punch by means of Estwing. []

And yes, they can break the CA glue seal. I've even had some that drove the tubes (glued with CA) out of the barrels. That was one of the reasons that I switched to PU glue.

Like Stan said, only I use a piece of rubber shelf liner or non-slip sanding pad in my hand to get a better grip on the pen barrel without marring the surface.

Agreed.

I don't know which hurts me worse...when Mr. Estwing bites or when I get mad and try to bite back [B)].
