I just turned another Zen pen with Red trustone with gold matrix. The blank finished spectacularly. Upon assembly one of the couplers had oversize female threads, so oversize the base finial that holds the spring would not even snug up. It just kept turning. I epoxied it in place and solved the problem but I am getting dissillusioned because this is a very popular pen style. I will call CSUSA tomorrow and report the problem and also let them know that I am not the only one with the magnet coming loose problem.

Weird. Now that's one I haven't seen before.

I ALWAYS epoxy shut ANY part that will not be needed by the customer. I have a FP that I made that is my own personal class note-taker and when I made it, I epoxied nothing together. I get agitated by constantly having to re-tighten the posting thread post (not to mention the nib coupler, but you can't epoxy that).
