Has anyone else had this happen?

I made one of my employees a pen using the Indigo Diamondwood for Christmas 2005. It has turned Emerald Green. I didn't think Diamondwood changed colors.

I made it back in my Friction Polish days. But, I was told that a finish on Diamondwood was not really necessary.

Did they leave it there car a lot? I also thought the diamondwood was supposed to be very stable.

Nope. I don't think she ever took it out of the office. Probably has never seen direct sunlight.

Never had that happen to my Dymondwood pens, not even the ones that go thru the Washer! I don't know what your employee does for work but perhaps they have worn off the finish and impreginated the wood with some green color from work. Now saying that I have seen finishes worn and darkened but never changed to another color.
Dymondwood is so hard you really can't hurt it except to burn or drop on concrete!
