Has anyone tried printing a logo out on some type of glossy paper and then cast it on a tube? Does this work? I'm trying to figure out how to get a car logo cast on top of a carbon fiber blank so that the logo is glued into place then cast in the clear resin. Any ideas?

turn the cast fiber blank as close as you can to the fiber, polish the blank, then use a waterslide decal and recast.... decal/logo will "float" above the fiber.

Here's one I did with regular paper. Printed on epson ink jet. Glued on the tube with PPA (perfect paper adhesive) and sealed with same. Then just clear cast. Glossy would likely work although harder to form around the tube.
