Never, ever put your polymer clay blanks you worked on for over 2 hours in the toaster oven then fall asleep in you recliner. Hour and a half later it looks like toasted marshallows. Aarrrgg

Kinda sounds like the day I put a few box elder burl blanks in the toaster oven to get them good and dry.

I put them in and turned it on, no reason to look at the temp it is shop use only, and then did as SWMBO ordered me to do for less than 10 min. When I got back .... loads of black smoke pouring out of the oven ... and 4 nice piles of charcoal inside. My "helper" had played "kitchen" earlier in the day and it didn't register in my so called mind ; )

Won't make that mistake again .... oven needed to be replaced, again.

Don't feel too bad. I attempted my first clay tubes tonight and ruined them as I was wide awake.

At least you had a nap.:biggrin:
