Czech pen??

I have a friend of Irish descent who has asked me to fashion a Celtic pen out of emerald acrylester for him. No problemo! I can knock one of those out in a couple of hours.

HOWEVER... his wife is of Czech descent. And he has asked that I also make a "Czech pen" for her! Any ideas what this could possibly be or how I could make one of these?

The first thing I see when in a "Czech" area of the world I work in........It is those round symbols on their meeting halls, barns, and sometimes homes. I know that there is a name for them.......but I don't know it.

What about something with a wood from that area of the world or at least one from the types of trees that grow there and then maybe a decal with a symbol? I know they have different meaning but it isn't something I have studied. You have some googlin' to do.

Google the Czech flag image: red, white and blue. It is a fairly simple pattern.
