I did a search for cutting jigs but couldnt find any posts... anyone got a good design that I might be able to see? I'm working on one for my bandsaw to cut blanks to length.

Also Are there set dimensions for blanks or what do you guys usually do lenght/width wise?

It can be as simple or complicated as you like. My sled is a piece of 3/4 ply about 6"x9" with a fence on the back that is perpendicular to the mitre slider attached to the bottom. Most pen blanks are 3/4x 5-6. I know some people put adjustable stop blocks to cut the blanks down for the barrels bit I just put a tube on and add 1/8 or so and make a pencil mark. You might want to add more if the wood you are using is likely to blow out when you drill it or of you are not cutting very square.

Here is one article for you.

or for one a little simpler.
