I was not sure where to post this so if this is the wrong place I apologize.

I have a cusotomer that has a friend that wants a valentine's day pen but wants it to be made from a wood from Costa Rica. Does anyone know of any wood types that grow there?

Thanks,

John, Cocobolo immediately comes to mind. I'm not sure about Costa Rico, but mahogany is also found in come Central American countries. Teak also seems to fount in the country.

There are a few variaties of rosewood that grow in Costa Rica. Purple heart and mahogony are fairly common there. There is also melina (aka: White Teak).
