Saw Beartoothwoods has copper pens in bright and satin finishes. Anyone know how well these may hold up? I have a few blanks that would look perfect with the copper, but only if the finish holds up on the pen.

Mikey,

The ones that I have made have not been subjected to much use as yet. The word from the manufacturer is that the coating will wear off, and the pen will take on the patina of a used penny.

I think if you do a search, you will find Ernie McFarlane's discussion on the subject.

I just saw one yesterday that was the first copper pen I made. The guy who bought it told me he carries it almost everyday and it looks as good as the day I made it.

It was a bright copper slimline.
