I haven't been posting any new work lately because I have been trying to work the bugs out of an idea that has been running through my head.
I hope to start turning this one this afternoon. The progress so far was not without problems but I do have it drilled and tubed.
This is just a test piece.

Only if you want pictures of it wrapped up with rubber bands being reglued.[:(]
What you are looking at is a simplified metal version of this.

And it can be used as an electrical appliance in case of emergency! [:D] I like the look. It looks to get good reflections off the copper, or is that sheet brass?

Yeah. me too.
in the prepping process I ran into a couple of problems but that is to be expected with a first attempt.
I usually don't have problems with acrylics but the introduction of the powdercoated metal introduces a situation where the solutions to past problems won't work.
HAd a MAJOR blow out last nite and will decide to either scrap it or start over.
Before the blowout it looked too good to give up on the design.
One thing about working with clea plastic. All glue joints show.
