I have had a few issues where the clips will loosen and rotate on my pen caps, most notably on the Tritons I've just finished. They've been through a few shows and been well handled. I'm hesitant to use CA and gas the hardware. I also am a little afraid of using Loctite. I've had the red Loctite seep in under my finish a couple of times.
Any suggestions?

Are you using the liquid red loctite? I switched to the gel version about a year ago, it gives a lot more control, i just dab it on and spread it around with a toothpick.

This is just one of those annoying traits with some of the kits we use. Loctite is better to use than CA because you run the risk of destrying the finish with CA.

I had the same thing happen when applying the Loctite to the male fitting. I now use a toothpick and spread a couple of drops in the tube, wipe the tube end with a paper towel to remove any excess and no further problems with Loctite seeping into the finish.
