CLIPLESS ?

I need to make a ladies clipless pen.
I have not done a Cambridge. Will the top assemble properly without the clip installed?
I'm also open to other suggestions.
My customer's only requests were gold & rollerball'

I've never made one but it looks like there's a recess cut into the cap that would be for the clip to rest in. So it'd look odd without a clip in it.

The Jr. series pens don't have the recess, maybe look into a statesman or retro?
