Clear 308 casing finish

Now nearing completion time on my cartrige pens I am trying to workout what to use in the way of a clear finish. I would like to hear what others are using or have used in regards to finishing the pens. Obviously Powder coating them is a bit out of my range so will wait to see what others have to say.
