cleaning MM pads

How is the best way to clean these pads. I soaked them in water, but the old sanding material is still on them. Thanks.

harold,

drop a little dishwashin soap on your finger, spread it around the MM sheet/pad and rub it good between your palms. that gets most of the stuff off, but not 100% of it. however, the little left over doesn't seem to affect the sheets at all.

you can also put them in a garment bag and put them in the washing machine. i just think this takes way longer for the same effect as hand washing them.

make sure you use cold water either way and air dry them as the dryer will melt them.

I soak mine after using them each time. I use warm water and just go over them with my fingers. Seems to work for me.

I usually put mine in a sock or pants pocket and clean them with the rest of the wash. You won't ever get all of the junk out but it will still work fine.

Once in a while I take a real soft fingernail brush to 'em while they're soaking in the old cast iron sink out back. That seems to work without removing the desired abrasive.

I put in a mesh bag and wash with laundry. Air dry.

Thanks everyone. Washed them by hand using soap and they look a lot better.
