I've made several Slimlines using 7mm circuit board blanks, and Boy Howdy but they can be delicate to turn! So, question time:
Has anybody turned slimline blanks almost to the finished stage before cutting to length? I'm thinking (which can be dangerous) of doing that, then marking the blank lengths and using that little Harbor Freight mini-chop saw with its 0.02 kerf to cut them down to size. To avoid chip out, I'd put a couple of wraps of painter's tape along the cut lines.
So before I screw up a $17.00 blank, Pros and Cons?
