Cigar transmission replacement?

I accidently murdered a cigar transmission last night. All of the cigar kits I bought came with the transmissions assembled with the couplers, and I didn't realize they unscrewed.

I pressed the coupler in with the transmission attached and crushed it. In testing it, just in case it would still turn, I realized that they come right off. I was able to finish the pen by stealing one from another kit, but now I need to find a replacement.

Are these universal? Should I be able to get a transmission for any cigar pen and have it work? The vendor that I got these kits from does not sell the transmissions separately.
