I believe they use the Schmidt pencil cartridge. Far as i know the Schmidt cartridges are vert reliable so i would imagine the kits would be good too.

I made a couple of CSUSA cigar pencils and I am very pleased.

Just received my order from BB and they are pretty much identical as far I can recall/tell.

Note that I haven't made any of these Berea cigar pencil kits though.

One thing to keep in mind, if you're making a matching pen and pencil set, the lower barrel on the pencil is slightly shorter than the lower barrel on the pen- hold the tubes up against each other and you'll see the difference. Especially if you do a matching set in the rattlesnake blanks supplied by BB, keep this in mind. Since they're already cast with the longer pen tube, you've got to take a little extra off instead of just milling down to the brass.
