A cigar cigar pen???

I was talking to some friends of mine, telling them I was going to start making some leather cigar pens. One asked if I had any cigars and if so, stabilize them and make them into a cigar pen. Has anyone tried this? Sounds like a neat idea.

I wouldnt wait the cigar. They are for smoking.
I think it is a better idea to use a wood that is about the same color or dye some maple to the correct color. Use a cigar as a template for sizing and just glue the band to the finished wood and put a nice CA finish on top. I know I seen it somewhere.
If you have ever have the outer wrapper peel off your cigar the inside aint that great looking. If you were planning on turning the cigar.
