Hi all,

I received some wood that I believe (I hope is) Chittum Burl. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,
Robert

Looks like it. I recently cast a bunch of it in alumilite. Looked just like that. It's hard to tell in your pic, but is the wood a yellowish color?

Yes, yellow in color. Sorry for the poor picture. I have a chance to purchase some additional pieces...Looks like it to me but before I spend the money wanted to ask a few other opinions :)

I just pulled up pics on my phone from the chittum I cast. Yours has more eyes but the color looks the same and the grain patterns. In my opinion you've got some really awesome chittum burl.

Hi Robert, It looks like it might be Chittum Burl. The ones I've had were a bright yellow color loaded with lots of eyes like the blanks you pictured. The eyes can have small voids.
I'd go for it if I were you.
