Here's a cheap and easy way to make a tube sander and save some money until you can afford a seperate tool. Just take the cutting head off off your tube mill, put a piece of sticky sandpaper on the smooth side with a hole in the middle to accept the shaft, and put it back together with the sandpaper out. Mine works great. I'm sure a dedicated sander is much better, but this will work until you can spring for one.

That suggestion was made by someone else here a year or more ago; but it is a great idea and well worth mentioning again. I've been using it for quite some time now and it works just fine. I don't even bother with the sticky sandpaper. The regular stuff works just fine.

another cheap way,
small 2" sanding disk held in headstock, pen mill pilot held id tail stock to support blank , advance tube into sander by hand.
with velcro backed sanding disks no need to punch holes just use it till it needs replacing then shift it over 1/2" offcenter
