Other than sharp tools, is there anything i should be aware of? Is using the end mill ok? Or should it be sanded?

Is this stuff "chippy"?

TIA

If you turned other true stone, you should be ok. If I recall, watch your heat with this one... It does that "turn white" if you over heat it. I don't remember it being all that chippy...

But the best thing is keep your tools really sharp (or use a carbide woodchuck,e etc type tool if you have one.)

Heres one.... This blank is kinda bland. No where near as exciting as some that i've seen on here.

This was the very first Tru Stone i've turned. Some comments i've read had me worried, but it was a breeze.

WOW! I think that looks great! Very nice for a first tru-stone attempt. I am waiting for my woodchuck pen pro to be delivered, then after I have it in hand, I am finally getting me a tru-stone to turn. Your pen looks really nice and I think the blank looks nice as well.
