Is there a way to get rid of it? I'm about to make a wedding set and I DO NOT want it there.

I wish I would have found that earlier :frown:. I bought the stupid ones from woodcraft. I usually make these kits with darker wood or acrylics and totally spaced out when I bought these... I hope I can find my receipt. I've seen what PenMan1 did when he sanded down the black band and fabricated a new ring to put on there. Can anybody describe in detail how this is done, or have a picture process for it?

It sure does, Ed!
I had a show this weekend and found myself taking the Roman Harvest pen out of customer's hands as they were having trouble posting the cap back on. Very embarrasing when it was one of my most expensively priced pens! :redface::frown:

Berea is aware that there is a cosmetic problem with the black band. When they find a way to eliminate it, or make it more esthetically pleasing, the replacement pen will work (they have indicated to me that "working" is their first priority!!) properly.
