First off, when you are looking for these blanks - you might want to be sure to clarify which ones you want.

Casein is a milk based product and is a more expensive option.
There is an acrylic (plastic) option called alternate Casein that is a close replica out there and is less expensive.

IMO - both look very nice and are very similar to me (but I am no expert). Depending on who wants the pen, the difference may be important though.

I know that exotic blanks carries the alternate, and I believe has the real stuff at times too. I'd suggest you pm ed4copies - He has much more knowledge of the differences than I do.

I don't know of a source for either product in Australia, but if you clarify which you are looking for, I will see if I can find out who handles it, near you.
