My first attempt of a capless pen - W/S II and Snakewood.

The pen looks good, nice work on the clip.

Did several things that amazed me. First, I don't have a closed end mandrel, so put the bushing end in my Nova chuck and live center in the tailstock. Turned the pen, then used Dave Osborn's tutorial from the library about using the Dremel to cut the clip slot. Put on finish, then parted the pen - then hand held the pen while I sanded and finished the end. It was an experiment, but seemed to turn out okay.

NIce execution on the closed end sierra along with the hidden or recessed clip. You also had fun figuring out how to do the closed end section without any special tooling. Here is a way you may want to try next time.
