CANADIANS - source for brass blackening solution?

anyone in Canada have a source for brass blackening solution for pen tubes??

I'm not in Canada, but one possible source might be a hobby that has an extensive model railroading department. The stuff is commonly used to blacken the unrealistic-looking brass track rails.

Most of this stuff you can get at the local super market, hardware store or similar store.

I use black spray laquer, let it dry overnite and it works fine. You could also go to someone like Canadian Tire and get some gun blueing solution. That's what I used in the engraving business for blacking the writing.

I'll check Canadian tire...I MAY have tracked some down at a hobby shop in New West...we'll see.
