Fixing to turn a rollerball between centers, my calipers were in the house with the pen kit, so I decided to measure the parts and compare with instructions measurements this is what I got=
Large tube .538'' both ends, one was .538'' and the other was .530"
small tube suppose to be .462'' and .483'' was .483'' and .465''.
Good thing I measured. I think I will do this measuring thing a lot more.
This is why I have and use calipers.

CALIPERS

Got to korea in Nov, had to wait for my household goods until Jan.:frown: Finally get my household goods realize I forgot to ship my calipers.:frown: Decided to chance it and make an electra pen, instructions say both bushing are the same size, cool. Turn my pen with acrylic, go to assemble it. Guess what back end is too big, nib side is too small. Bushing are not the same size. When I have my calipers I always double check. Will not be making any more pens until calipers arrive.

I use calipers on a limited basis. I find this I use a pair of small dividers all the time. Just set the opening for the actual pen kit part and check on the lathe. Mine came from an old drafting set and has needles on both sides vs a nib or pencil on one side. This is faster for me than the calipers.
