Has anyone here turned pens from the wood of butterfly bushes? I have three large bushes and was doing my yearly pruning of them today. Some of the limbs are thumb size or a little bigger in diameter. The pith is white and small enough to be drilled out for a 7 mm tube on some and for an 8 to 10 mm tube on others. I am just curious if anyone has a picture of one made with this type of wood or has any pro's or con's about using it.
