Bushings reusable?

Lame newbie question

Are the bushings, when bought for a specific pen type, reusable or do they take a beating during the turning process and need to be bought each time.

I have been watching the videos and they get sanded, polished and everything else.

The bushings can be used over and over. Try and be careful not to hit them with your turning instrument or sand them too much. They will eventually wear down and you will have to get new ones. A lot of people just use them for a reference point and use a set of calipers for the final demensions.
