I am making some bullet pens I have 308 casings but I have been told that it is best to get a certain size projectile but not sure exactly which.
I have been told to look for somewhere between 135-150grm is that correct ? and also whats the difference ?

any help appreciated

Ian,

I use a variety of bullet weights in my kits. I've made 308 Winchester cartridges with 130g (7000 grains = 1 pound), 145g, 150g, and 169g bullets. Some were full-metal-jacket (FMJ), some jacketed-hollow-point (JHP), and some with a polymer tip. Some bullets had a boat-tail, and some didn't. They all worked.

Just pick a bullet with a profile you like and go with it. If you use a hollow-point or polymer-tip bullet, make sure the existing tip doesn't have too large a hole.

Regards,
Eric
