Here are a couple of pics of bullet pen and pencil sets a woman ordered from me.
The first pic I used figured maple on the top, with a cocobola center band.
The second is using blue crushed pearl acrylic.
Comments always welcome.

Thank you all for the nice comments...

Tom, at this point I really don't do a lot to them.
When I finish them I use 320 and 400 grit paper, then I run micro mesh over them. I polish them just like I do the wood or whatever. and put some carnuba wax on them.
And then I tell people if they start to dull use some brasso on them.
I know some use the powder coating, I'm still kinda winging it right now.

Kevin, I know it is in the works for a tutorial on the bullet pens. But to my knowledge it is not out yet.
Everyone does them a little differently, and uses different shell casings.
I use brass, and nickel plated ones. And they all come out differently.
If you want to know how I do them e-mail me and I'll be glad to tell you how I do them.

Hi Travis,
What I did was cut the casing into...and turned the acrylic to fit in between...there is a small tenon on each end of the acrylic that is glued inside the casing.
