What do you use for bullet finish. I made a bullet pen a while back and didnt finish it, but i am looking to sell them and i want it to stay shiny. My dad suggested some super shine stuff for metal that sounded kinda nasty. I was just wondering if there was a good finish to keep it shiny.

You could invest in a small powdercoating system and clear coat them. There are several people on here that do that to their casings. I wet MM to 12000 and then assemble the kits. But I let the customers know that these will patina with time, but thats what my customers want. Everyone I have ever sold to says they like the look of the natural tarnishing of the brass and copper, that it gives it a more realistic look.

The ones I make and give as gifts I tell them to invest in a can of Brasso. Most who are interested in this type of pen know they will tarnish, because they are shooters.

I use an acrylic spray. I tried shellac spray and lacquer spray and neither did the job like the acrylic spray.
