When buffing how hard do you press the pen into the buffing wheel? Do you press it in fairly hard or just lightly? I don't want the buffing wheels leaving marks. I'm using 1" (2) of the Canton wheels.

I use the Beall system, and I just press lightly. Just like with sandpaper, there is no need to muscle it. If you are not getting the results with light pressure, my guess is that the problem is in the surface that you are buffing. The finish is only going to be as good as the surface it is protecting.
