Bronze Star

I had some special blanks made with a bronze star w/valor for the family of a young man that was killed in Iraq. I went to assemble and found tha the inside of the blank is .386 and the pen component is .384 - doesn't sound like much but it fits very loose/sloppy! I checked the tubes that came with the kit and they are the same! Is this gap too big to epoxy? or is there something better?
Tips appreciated!

I would not have a problem gluing with epoxy.

Loctite is my preference to epoxy for 2 thousands. It can be reversed with a soldering iron

I ended up using some epoxy! Will post pics tonight!
Ken, What Loctite would you use?
