Anyone know where you can buy the brass tubing for 7mm pens in bulk lenght? I like being able to cut mine to whatever lenngth I need. I know PSI sells 10" peices, but there has to be a place where we can buy this tubing in lengths for less. Would a 9/32 tube with .014 wall work? This combo gives you an ID of .253. I've seen this at hobby stores.

Thanks,

John

I've checked a few Hobby Shops and none of them carry the same size tubes as the 7MM pens kits. I suspect it is a proprietary size just for the industry. I did get new tubes for the perfume atomizers that I messed up[:)]

Maybe McMaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/. No idea if it would work, but check out part number 88605K26. 7mm OD, 6.1 ID, 300mm long (~ 1 ft). Pack of 8 for 12.60. Offhand I think it's probably too thick, but they have a pretty good selection so maybe you can find something that can work.

Edit: Doh! My math was off - when I said I thought it was too thick I was converting the 0.45mm thickness to English units and goofed it up. It would be about 0.018" so it might be OK.

Higher than PSI too for that matter. How much is Woodturningz price on it? Not something I've bought much of so I really had no idea when I was looking it up if that was a good price or not.

McMaster does have many different sizes too though so if you need something a little odd or hard to find they may have it. Tons of other hard-to-find bits and pieces too.

I'll just order the tubes from Ryan. It isn't a big deal, I just figured there has to another way to get the tubing. Thanks for the response guys. I appreciate your input.
