Not sure if I'm in the correct forum, but I was just asked to make 30 pens with a Star Trek theme....any ideas?

Stamps - not a complete cover, but a single stamp/painted/tube/cast.

I did 2 for my anniversary, Blue background, white splatter - single stamps.

You will not need much brainstorming power there. The budget is low. Stamps or decals is about all that is out there. Maybe put them on one of those star blanks. With a box, man that is cutting into the profits.

We do sets of themed pens all the time.
For a Star Trek theme, I'd do something along these lines:
keep it simple-Sierra style works well.
casting your own blanks is great! I'm thinking solid colors, each matching one of the three uniform colors- some in the light blue (e.g. Spock), some in red (e.g. Scotty) and some in the yellowy/butterscotchy (Yarrow maybe? Van Gogh sunflower?) like Captain Kirk's. Maybe swirl in a bit of black accent to invoke the black trousers they wear (although the black of the Sierra kit itself does this too)
Lastly, I'd engrave the Starfleet log onto each, I know this adds to the cost, but maybe you can work a deal for bulk, or know somebody with an Epilog laser...

Create Custom Stickers, Labels, Tattoos and Decals at StickerYou Stickers might be similar to stamps and might work.

Have you looked at google images? That's where it get most of the images for my decals.
