Just turned a bow burl and it has light red in it. My first one and was kinda surprised to see such color in it. Is this normal or not. Just wondering. Will foto when I reset my tent.

Haven't turned any BOW as yet but how about a picture of your results?

I have seen pink in BOW...usually just small streaks, but it's been there

I've had a number of olive wood (both BOW and JOW) that has light pink areas in it. They are not streaks, but instead of the light tan or cream, it has a pink tint. It looks really nice and I see it as a special feature that is not all that common and therefore somewhat prized.
