I have had two bolt actions returned where the bolt came out of the action. Has any one encountered this problem? On one it looks like the guy tried to twist the bolt around. Can the bolt be put back in?
Any suggestions? Thanks

Yes. You need a long skinny Phillips head (a #0 I think - all I know is that I don't have the right size). The bolt is held in with a screw. Ideally you could get the screw out and put a little dab of Loctite on it before you put it back in.

The only way the bolt can come out is if it is broken off or the retaining screw comes out. If it is the retaining screw that came out it can be replaced. You will need a #0 or #1 Phillips screwdriver and I would put a drop of blue Loktite on the threads.
