If you have a wood or acrylic blank that has worked with gunmetal, please reply with a photo. I usually gravitate toward gold and silver and would like some advice.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The pen broke, but I went for alt. ivory and black titanium (same as gunmetal) once, I think it would look nice. Sorry, you asked for pics, but I don't have any at the moment.

I just turned 3 gunmetal Civil Wars today. Bloodwood, Cocaobo, and 100 year old reclaimed white oak. Bloodwood was okay, Chrome would be better on the White oak, but works. The Cocaobo that well is the wonderful. I have yet to photograph.

Thanks for the suggestions: I have some blue, I will order more olivewood + zebrawood and I will search for gunmetal in the archives. THANKS

Here is an angled cherry the seems to look good in gunmetal with gold.

Osage, any typle of Maple, Cocobolo and Deer Antler also look good with gun metal, but I think everything looks good with gun metal.

One of my favorite pens was one of my firsts. It was a Gun Metal Trimline w/ some really dark cocobolo. Looked like a Mans pen for sure. I miss that pen....

Sorry about the poor lighting; these were taken before I figured things out and started using Photomatix. I'm putting more up soon.

Here are some I turned the other day. Just processed the images. They look a lot better.

I, like some of the others have commented, can't think of anything that doesn't look good with GM. If I had to pick 1, deer antler, hands down.
