Blank Stablization

I've been doing some searching around on the internet on the subject of wood stabilization. It appears that those into making knives have already been down this path. The link below shows a set up that the individual appears to have had success with. Unfortunately, it does not speak to method (time, etc.). The answers to home stabilization might be revealed if someone were to track this guy down or explore the knife making community.
