A slimline i put together tonight for my bro-in-law who has arthritis. It was the only kit I had available, the wood is pink lilac. the reason the clip is where it is is because there is a 1/8" long crack under it.[:p]

Beautiful pen. Lilac is hard to dry without cracking. I cut pieces about 18" long and then cut in 4 pieces. Quarter round shape. Stack then and let dry for 2 to 3 months, then I cut my blank lengths and let dry for another few weeks. To test to see if there dry, drill the hole for the brass tube and let sit for a few days to a week then if the tube goes in the blank easily, there dry enought to use. If it's a little tight let dry a little longer. It works for me.
