I just received a couple of these. No instruction sheet included so I need to very drill size. Web sites at two suppliers indicated 27/64. I measured and think 23/64 is the correct size. Tube is smaller than standard Sierra.
Instruction sheets all show a Sierra type pen. Bushings are listed as 20A.
This correct??

I think 27/64 is for the Sierra, so 23/64 sounds right. as for multiple sites
giving the same (incorrect) size, they'll often get their info from the same
place.

The Berea Elegant Beauty is NOT the same as the Aero, which is NOT made by Berea.

This is why you are getting two different readings, you are dealing with two different kits.

If the one you are trying to accomodate is really the Aero, the OD of the tube is .348" 23/64" would work

Thanks, got it figured out. The kits I have use a 23/64.
Ed, Exotics has the correct information listed for these kits. I did not find an "instruction sheet" listed for this kit.

I never use the instructions any more for drill sizes. I just measure the tube with calipers and consult my favorite conversion chart to see what size drill to use. I find anywhere from 5 to 15 thousandths of an inch over the tube size works fine (around 9 thousandths is perfect with epoxy). I also measure all my drills, since they rarely are exactly on with their size.
