None of my shafts fit the tubes for a Jr. Gent kit. A quick trip to woodcraft didn't turn up anything either- a couple that were close but just a bit too lose on the smaller barrel, nothing close for the large barrel.

Does someone know of a barrel trimmer (actually need 2 since the barrels are different size) that fits these tightly?

Or does everyone who builds these use a sander on their tubes?
(Which is an option, but one I've avoided so far as I suspect I'll tend
to end up with non-square ends).

Thanks

One option is to turn your own adapter sleeve from a blank. (I'm assuming you have a barrel trimmer and you meant you need the correct sleeve)?

I agree, you can turn your own adapter shaft to fit inside the tube. Just drill a piece to 1/4", turn it so it just fits inside the tubes, and you're done. There are some who sell adapter shafts on this site as well. Here is one link:

You will find it if you scroll down a bit.

Hope this helps!:)

Thanks guys. Hadn't seen or thought of using an adapter- always used a different sized shaft.

Turned a couple out of UHMW and they worked great.
