Banksia Nut for making a pen

At a local exotic wood store I went in to get some CA glue and see what they had that was a different wood to make a pen out of. Got some lacewood that looked good then she disappeared and reappared with a Banksia Nut Pod. So has any made a pen if so what about pictures. And what do I need to watch for?
