AZ coconut shell pens

Just curious, has anyone done these? I don't remember seeing one posted up yet and I see a heavy sale at AZ on them. I really like the look of these and was thinking about making one. How do they turn?? Do they need a finish on them or can they stay in "blank form"

I've done a couple of each of the Tropicals. They are fairly easy to turn. Not too brittle. I turned them just like any polyester blank.

I've done one. I like the way it turned out and though it actually turned easier than other polyester resins I've turned (maybe my technique has just improved). Although I like it, I'm not sure there is anything creative I can add to the process.
