This is Scot, he came to my shop Saturday and made a classic cigar pen using Bethlehem Olivewood and a gold pen kit from WoodTurningz. Scot has some undeveloped talent and we will see his work on IAP in the future I'm sure. He was patient, paid attention and finished with a CA finish we all would be proud of. Of interest, he has no woodworking experience. Impressive young man of 14 years.

He did a mighty fine job for his very first pen, congrats to him and to you for providing instructions that allowed him to succeed. I'm sure it was a rewarding experience for both parties.

Nicely done. It's great to see young people using their skills and developing hidden talents. Nice going WoodButcher....best way to keep the hobby alive is introduce and encourage it to others.
