Amboyna burl question?

Does Amboyna burl need to be stabilized? Or at least is it better its stabilized? Does it matter if it has the white wood with it? Thanks for your help.

The sapwood is a nice variation. You may have to fill pin holes, so keep some shavings and mix them with CA glue to fill them.
