I have been looking at the pens with Aluminum segmentation and was wondering about the glue being used.

Are these done with CA or Epoxy?

I was also wondering about clamping the pieces.
Currently I am using my vice as a channel to lay the pieces in so they can't move side the side, then I put pressure end to end to get them set. Any other suggestions about gluing these things, especially when you have cuts on an angle and the wood wants to slide of the adjoining piece.

Thanks

try using medium CA. it sets pretty quick and all you need is finger pressure, eliminating the need for clumsy clamping. lately when i've been doing segments, this has been my technique and it works great.
