addinng letters

i was wanting to make a pen and put a letter on the pen are there any insturctions onn doing this

If you are refering to something like a momogram, the best way is to have it laser engraved. There are several on this site that can do it for you (it's about 10K for the equipment to do this) for a few dollars. Check around locally for someone in your area that does engraving that has a laser engraver. I've found a local engraver that can do it.

At what point would you send the pen to an engraver? Before Assembly? Before Finishing? After?

Ken Nelson, who is the engraver I use wants the pen fully finished before he gets it. As I understand it the finish makes it easier to clear away laser debris.

As William stated, I think most of them want the pen finished.

You could also scroll it in and fill it with epoxy before you make your pen. I have done a few this way and they turn out pretty good.
