Welcome,

I do acrlic differnetly than wood. I use CA glue in both... some use Gorilla or suma in acrylic though which is an expanding urathane glue. I sand with abrolon from Penn state ind. http://www.pennstateind.com/store/pkspkit.html then I wet sand/polich to a gloss and finish with a plastic polish. I don't use Penn State alot put they have good supies for the acrylic finishing check out there acrylic wet sanding pads http://www.pennstateind.com/store/pkfinkit.html and also they have a good plastic polish http://www.pennstateind.com/store/onestep.html....good luck

The only thing I do different on acrylics is I don't put a finish on it. I almost always glue the tubes in with epoxy, rarely CA or Sumo. I turn it at high speed just like wood and when I get it close to the final size, I sand with Norton 3X to 400 grit, just like wood. Then I switch to MM and go through all the grits. After that I buff with white diamond.

Listen to Bruce,

Painting the tubes and inside of acrylic makes a huge difference. If you don't you can see the brass tubes and dirty glue. It can mess up an otherwise perfect pen.
